Description

Up and coming actor Seriina Covarrubias needed a web site to host headshot pictures, a resumé, and news in a clean, easy-to-update format. Quantum Imagery designed a minimalist site that provided easy access to all of Seriina's information, and provided easy-to-use administration tools, so she could manage the content herself.

The resulting site met her needs, and has proved easy to manage and update in practice. A flash-based version that ties to the same content is in the works.

Technical Details

Perhaps the most beautiful part of the site is the source code. View the source for any of the pages, and you'll probably be surprised at how little there is. Layout is done completely in CSS, and degrades gracefully in text-only or non-compliant browsers.

The administrative interface was created in PHP with a simple MySQL database to hold resume information, text, and picture information. New headshot pictures can be uploaded via the administrative interface, and are automatically resized and stored using the graphics suite ImageMagick.
